On February 1st, 2024 the resort went on sale to existing members. Starting pricing matched the same prices as Riviera and Aulani at $225 per point. The annual dues started at $12.16, which is the second highest in the entire system.
- Existing Members can purchase starting February 1st
- New Members can purchase starting February 27th
- Members who add on get early booking on February 15th.
- Bookings for new members open on March 12th
- Opening date of resort projected as July 1st
- Point charts range from 111 points per week September to 232 point per week for Christmas/Easter. Majority of dates between 132-160 per week. Full charts available on our site here.

On April 20, 2023 - DVC announced that the current cabins at Fort Wilderness would be torn down and replaced with new cabins on the same footprint. These cabins will reopen sometime in 2024 as the 17th DVC resort - with the name The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort - a Disney Vacation Club Resort.
Right now not a lot is known about the resort besides a few details about the cabins and the below concept art.
- There will be 350 units available, intended to sleep up to six adults.
- The new design will include a private bedroom, bathroom, living room and full kitchen as well as a patio.
- Best news for certain members will be that “Some” of the units will be dog friendly (the only DVC rooms that are pet friendly out of the whole system).
- Opening of the new cabins is said to be “Sometime in 2024”
December 2023 at the condo association meeting DVC announced that the Cabins were expected to open in the summer of 2024 and would likely go on sale sometime before that. Some concept art photos were shared of the interiors of the cabins. We still do not have point charts.
